Cosy and unique rooms
Mary-Ann’s Polarrigg offers a range of rooms depending on your needs;- reasonably-priced accommodation for those who need a place to sleep during their stay or for families and those who like to indulge themselves, we have something a little more luxurious. No matter which room you choose, we ensure your stay will be a pleasant one.
All guests are welcome to use our shared kitchen and dining area, the TV lounge with sofas and a large collection of literature about Svalbard. Access to our laundry facilities can also be arranged.
Single rooms with shared bathroom
Our single rooms, close to the Restaurant in the Gruveriggen building, are the old accommodation of the miners of Longyearbyen so are small barracks of a basic standard with shared showers and toilets on the same corridor.
Please note that to access the Reception and Living Room, you will need to exit the building and use a separate entrance.
Twin Rooms with shared bathroom
Our standard twin rooms, close to the Reception and cozy Living Room in the Gruveriggen building, are the old accommodation of the miners of Longyearbyen so are small barracks of a basic standard with shared showers and toilets on the same corridor.
Please note that to access the Restaurant, where we serve breakfast, you will need to exit the building and use a separate entrance.
Double and family rooms with private bathroom
In our Heritage Mining Rig which was completed in 2002, we have double and family rooms. Each room has its private bathroom with a shower and is uniquely decorated with a warm atmosphere.
Our double rooms feature two single beds that are typically joined together to form a double. However, they can also be separated upon request for individual use.
Our family rooms are spacious and sleep up to four people (double bed 150cm with a 75 cm bunk bed and a single 75 cm bed).
Please note that these rooms are located in a separate building, just a few steps away from the Restaurant, as well as the Living Room and Reception area.
